Weekly Science Challenge

9

Did you know that you could participate in a weekly science experiment with the gang from the Magic School Bus? My kids love Magic School Bus, and we own many of the books and videos. In fact, when we lived in America the show use to air daily on the Public Broadcasting Chanel (PBS) and I use to tape it so we could watch it again and again. In fact, the boys have requested that we obtain a few more because they've watched what the library has and what we own quite a bit. However, back to the science experiments!

This weeks experiment is making an indoor rainbow. All though it's also suggested that you try the same procedure outside to see if you get a different result or not. There's a full set of instructions on the Simple Science page to aid you in your experimentation. Then, when you're all done you can, if you chose, send  in your discoveries and they may, or may not, see them posted. How neat is that?

So why am I sharing this here? Because I have two little boys who adore doing science experiments and, like many homeschoolers, science experiments can often hit the back shelf despite our good intentions. These experiments seem quite simplistic and I think that if I supply my boys with the information and supplies they'll not only have a whole lot of fun, but learn something while they're at it. They're looking forward to participating weekly!

I have a whole heap of taped MSB as avi files... If you're interested, I could burn them to a CD for you.

I was wondering....Is there a way to look back at previously covered weeks to go back and do some of the ones we've missed?

Thanks so much!
