Happy Fourth Of July

There were sword fights & gunfights today. Chats between Washington & Lafayette, discussions of King Louie & King George III. There was the annual reading of the Star Spangled Banner, and the reminder of the Declaration of Independence and it's 27 grievances. There were games, and sparklers. There was family, & fun.
It was fun watching my children explain the historical meaning of this holiday with family. It was interesting to watch their take on all that they’ve been learning about over the past six weeks. We had fun answering questions and seeing others catch on to some of the fun and excitement of what we’d learned.

Enjoy the day while you remember all that our forefathers sacrificed so we could celebrate our freedom today.

PS: If you want a really fun and amazing way to share the Declaration Of Independence with your kids, this book is an absolute must.
