I was carrying on, not that long ago, about Thanksgiving and how it's always, always been one of my very favorite holidays. While carrying on about this I noticed that Jayden had become quite quiet while Morgan asked me if I remembered a variety of things that we've done on previous Thanksgivings. Then Jayden said, "What is Thanksgiving anyway?" Those words were the inspiration for 30 Days Of Thanks & Giving. I decided that we'd learn all about Thanksgiving, but instead of cramming it into a week and wrapping up with a feast we'd spend the whole month learning about why we give thanks. The boys were excited, and so was I. The end result was 30 days worth of crafts, games, & learning.Where we'll spend the next four weeks learning all about the Pilgrims, Indians, Plymouth Plantation, The Mayflower & The Speedwell, & so much more. Not only have I shared crafts and activities, but I've also provided links for extra stuff including a few for preschool Thanksgiving fun! We decided that we'd share this with everyone, because what American wouldn't want to spend the month learning about America's beginnings? You can download it by clicking on the above picture, the title, or here.

Thanks so much for sharing this! I'm putting together a 30 Days of Thanks calendar for my 2-year-old - with a flap for each day - a picture under the flap showing some type of Thanksgiving-related activity for the day. This will be so helpful!
Yes, Thanks for Giving me so many great ideas. I plan to devote this whole month to thankfulness and it's importance, too. We have so much to be thankful for! (and giving people like you are high on the list)
man, you rock again!

Thanks for all these ideas!
This is so cool - thanks for putting it together! I just discovered your blog, and I'm very excited to see what else you've come up with!
Thanks Kendra, these are great! What a wonderful month for your family.
It amazes me how much time most go into not only planning this unit study, but typing it all out and creating the links just to share with us...for free. You are so incredibly generous. Thank you so much. :)
