This past week was filled with rain, rain, and more rain. In fact, we've had so much rain that I'm pretty sure my next house will be an ark. The tides are abnormally high, the fields are flooded, and I'm expecting to see the sheep pulling out row boats as they float by any day now! Needless to say two little boys in this house were going as stir crazy as the rest of us. We decided to take them to see Up, which was a really good movie, all though quite sad in parts. Afterwards we took them to the Imaginarium and turned them loose.
The theme was insects, but they had an assortment of things from various past exhibits. This included things like, Race the dino to see if you could out run it or not. Lots of fun space things (the boys loved this after our Space class), and even a space costume. It was far too small, but Jayden squeezed into it anyway and was highly put out that there was no helmet to go with it.
We were there quite close to closing and the lady pulled the leaf bug out for Morgan to hold and touch. He was doing quite well until the bug moved, and it spooked him and he flung the poor thing up into the air. You don't want to know how much those nifty bugs are selling for now that the exhibit is closed.. Personally, I was less then impressed with the huge display of spiders (talk about nightmares), which included a few living specimens of the Huntsman, after all I've seen enough of those to last me a lifetime. The boys had plenty of fun and asked to go back the following day, we'll have to wait and see what the new exhibit is.
