Dinnertime Funnies..

While eating dinner tonight (a nifty new recipe that we LOVED) we heard a loud crashing sound that seemed to come from the fireplace/chimney. I look around, and the guys were completely oblivious. I'm debating the size of the possible huntsman who'd be crawling around up there making *that* much noise. (Laugh all you want, but we've all ready had to evict one from the rumpus!!) Then I think, right, be serious that's NOT a huntsman.

My next thought is Peter, the tiny bunny who thinks it's his job to scare me half to death when I'm outside hanging up the laundry. He finds it his duty to come in under the fence (adjoining farm) and sniff around, nibble here and there etc. We may have to evict poor Peter because he's coming in where I wanted to plant sunflowers.. Anyway, back to that noise..

So the noise comes again and this time I realize that the dog is missing. I ask Jayden if he let the dog in or not. He insists he did, but the dog is not in his normal "I'm trying not to beg, but I really can't help it" seat. I say, "Are you sure?" "Yup, I'm pretty sure, and it's a truth not a story!" I look around again for the dog, and Morgan says, "Im sure he's in here because I saw him on his bed, unless I was daydreaming!"

Daddy says, "Do you daydream often about the dog?"

"Well, not really. At least I don't think I do, but I'm not sure. What does daydreaming mean?"

Yup, that's pretty much how conversations at the table go.. Or anywhere else for that matter...
